Literal (Know)

10 Hour Mentorship Log (With Contact Info.)

Literal (Need to Know)
  •  How heavy are shoulder steady cameras?
  • What are the two images displayed on a crane's screen?
  • What are the buttons on a crane?
  • Can DSLR cameras replace studio cameras?
  • Who controls if the image captured is shown live?
  • How much can a crane reveal?
Interpretive

As I observed camera operators, I realized the importance of capturing a moment in a studio or at a concert can display strong emotions to viewers at home. I notice qualities the professionals had in common such as: patients, direction, how to move around cameras quickly, and, how to move a camera to capture expressions.

Applied

After shadowing camera operators, I can't wait to become one myself. Cinematography can do so much to  help tell a story. I enjoy being behind the camera to create stories and camera movement is how it's done. This is something I have a passion for and I can't wait to enhance my skills to become a better story teller and film maker.
